On International Women’s Day, Awaz e Niswan staff members participated in Aurat March which was held in Islamabad from Press Club to D-chowk attended by women, men and children from different spheres of life and raised their voices for the women rights in public and private sphere and advocate for their equal participation and decision making. The International theme of this year’s women day was “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world” which was aligned with the priority theme of the 65th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, “Women in public life, equal participation in decision making” , which calls for women’s right to decision-making in all areas of life including women’s right as a voter.
