Aurat Foundation in collaboration with SAP-PK under the project “JAZBA (Jumhoriat Aur Baikhtiar Aurat)” launched a research report titled ‘Violence against women and girls in the time of COVID 19 Pandemic’ on Feb 12, 2021 at Margala Hotel, Islamabad.’ The event was attended by a large number of women rights activists, Parliamentarians, academicians and media persons.
The research is based on review and analysis of data on the incidents of VAW collected from selected newspapers verified by local police stations in 25 selected Jazba districts, analysis of 14 case studies of VAW and analysis of 6 interviews from key government officials in Provincial Commissions on the Status of Women.
